In the event that schools must be closed because of inclement weather or other emergencies, announcements will be made over the Global Connect telephone calling system as well as the following radio / TV stations:

In order to maximize the efficiency of the Global Connect system, please make sure that your child’s school secretary has the most up-to-date phone numbers and contact information.
Due to the high volume of communications betwen the central office and the school during emergencies, parents are asked not to call the schools for information regarding school cancellations.
In anticipation of an emergency school closing before the usual dismissal time, your children should know where to go if you are not at home. Parents should not expect to be called. Please be certain that they and the person responsible for them are aware of the procedure for such emergencies. Each school has an emergency dismissal form that will be distributed to the parents at the start of school.
