- Measuring success in schools can be difficult.
- Unlike industry, its productivity is not measured in number of widgets
produced
- Like healthcare, education relies on competent, professional individuals
to deliver its “product”
- Not easy to measure success in such a human service
|
|

|
- Communities thrive when their schools provide greatest opportunities and
resources to the students
- Realizing that this community and its residents support our schools, the
community delegates responsibility to the school department to provide
the best educational programs.
The Lincoln School
Department in turn assures the community to meet its duty by :
- Implementing and designing curriculum that help every student reach
his/her highest potential
- Hiring the most highly qualified faculty and administrative staff
- Offering supportive facilities that promote positive learning
environment
- Assuring sound financial management and performance
|
|
5
|
- That said, how can the Lincoln
School Department demonstrate its performance?
- ….By informing the community it serves
- awards /academic achievements of its students,
- results of evaluations by accrediting bodies,
- achievements in the arts and athletics
- Those are the qualities and measures valued by the colleges and
universities that select our children into their student bodies

- “I am so proud to be part of an educational community that is committed
to meeting the needs of all students.
The Lincoln School District is second to none with a visionary
leadership team, highly educated professional staff, dedicated support
staff, talented students and a supportive community. All of these factors contribute to
Lincoln’s success as a premiere school department. Therefore, it is my quest to attain
new heights in the Rhode Island educational community and eventually in
the nation, by implementing exemplary programs and initiatives which
will result in increased student achievement and educational excellence
as evidenced in the following presentation.”
